The North is ON campaign promotes life and job opportunities in Northern Norway, Sweden, and Finland

Career opportunities in the north of Norway, Sweden, and Finland are revealed in a new social media campaign called The North is ON. The campaign highlights the progressive lifestyle the north has to offer, including interesting job openings for the highly educated, vibrant social life, and thriving culture. Exciting career prospects and high living standards make the north an optimal place to build a career and life.  

You can find The North is ON page on LinkedIn and join the group on Facebook. In the Facebook group you can share your own stories about life in the North, find job opportunities and events, and discuss with other highly educated Northerners. Hundreds of job opportunities have already been advertised in the group from the fields of medicine, education, space, ICT, real estate, biology, art, and media to list a few.

The campaign is hosting an online panel discussion with participants from Oulu, Luleå and Tromsø on June 29th at 4PM (Finnish time) discussing life, innovation, and career opportunities in the 21st Century North. The panelists include Begüm Doğan, a Turkish tech marketing specialist based in Oulu, Christin Kristoffersen, the former mayor of Longyearbyen in Svalbard, and Julia Mårdestam, the COO of the consulting agency Brightnest in Luleå. The North is ON campaign is a part of the Academic North -project which is a joint endeavor of the University of Oulu, Luleå University of Technology and University of Tromsø. Objectives of the project are to promote the proficiency, competitiveness and well-being of the northern parts of the Nordic countries by furthering academic mobility and employment in a socially responsible way.
