The air conditioning renovation in Pegasus Library will affect the availability of the library's collections in closed stacks
Due to the air conditioning renovation that has begun in Pegasus, the library's storage facilities will have to be closed and the collections in the closed stacks will be out of use.
The magazines in the closed stacks (P FA at the beginning of the location in Oula-Finna database) and a small part of the legal deposit collection are already out of use. As a reminder, staff and students of the University of Oulu can order article copies without charge from the National Repository Library directly to their own e-mail by logging into Oula-Finna (see instructions).
During weeks 22-23, the rest of the library's storage facilities will have to be protected from renovation, and the legal deposit archives and magazines in the closed stacks will be out of use until the end of July. If necessary, you should also check the availability of books from the National Deposit Library, where you can request materials from (see instructions) also in this exceptional time caused by COVID-19. Please note, however, that in July, when the Pegasus Library is closed, materials ordered from the National Repository Library cannot be retrieved.
The schedule of the renovation has now been specified. If you need materials from the legal deposit archives for workroom loan (only for University of Oulu staff members), you should place a request through Oula-Finna database by Friday 29th by 3 pm. It is also possible to request these materials by sending an e-mail to email@example.com. Requested items can be picked up from the Pegasus Library requested items shelf from June 1st onwards as the library opens.
